Elijah was a prophet of God who confronted the forces of evil in his generation. He has become a figure whose life seems beyond our comprehension, but this 16th century painting portrays him as thoughtful and caring, motivated by truth and justice. We have been living in the 'Days of Elijah' ever since the days of John the Baptist.
